Walking a Mountain

You might have seen a previous post of mine called “I Live In a Beautiful Place Called Wales” click the link to check it out. I’ve posted a bunch of pictures on it of my walks and adventures I did last summer.

The weather has changed quite a bit here. It was snowing the other week and it was 20 degrees this morning.

So it’s been perfect weather to go out and have an ice cream and have a walk. I was honestly wearing too much in this heat and couldn’t stand it 🙈

This year me and my boyfriend have decided to tackle more mountains and challenge our selves. So last year we did a few mountains such as Snowdon and Moel Eilio, and this year we’ve been wanting to do a few but the weather hasn’t been great.

Saturday the 7th of May we decided to tackle our first mountain of the year which was “Mynydd Mawr” also known as Elephant Mountain

The weather wasn’t great to be honest and we just knew we were going to do it no matter what. As we were walking towards the mountain it started to rain slightly, but with luck when we were half way up the weather picked up and it was warm.

As it was quite steep and I had not been keeping my fitness up for the last month, I was honestly so hot and sweating. We finally got to the top where you could look down and see a huge drop and I’m affraid of heights.

It was such an amazing view, it was cloudy but not too bad. We stopped on the “Elephants head” for a picnic and then started our way back down.

My calves were a bit stiff the next day but other than that.. After reaching the top it was such a good feeling and no matter what Mountain we walk it’s always a struggle until you reach the top and forget about everything.

Next tackle is “Nantlle Ridge” which is about 5/6 hour walk from one side to the other. So once I get my fitness back up and keep running and attending classes then it should be ok.

I’ll let you all know how that goes when it happens. I hope you like these sort of posts, it’s just basically a catch up post on what I have been doing and letting you know about it.

New Vanity Tour

I would like to share with you my new Vanity. Since starting my blog and YouTube channel I have always wanted a new vanity space to store make up and beauty products.

The drawers are all from Ikea they are the “Alex” range that they have, and were all bought seperate. The 2 sets of drawers were £50 each, the table top was £13 and the add on unit at the top was £35.

The decor at the top was also from Ikea, the table mirror was £10, the copper desk lamp was £10, the white candle holder was 85p and also the candle was 85p. The rest of the decor are from other places.

So once I had assembled it all myself, and had red raw hands, I then took my time to suss out where everything was going to go. I bought a drawer insert from ikea, it was a cutlery drawer, but fit perfectly in these drawers and the rest of my storage is just random boxes like perfume boxes or lids of boxes.

Once it was up and everything was in place I knew I was going to a tour video of it on my YouTube. So here it is..

A make up collection video will be done after reaching 500 subscribers and if I do reach that I will be doing a Giveaway too…

As always if you have a YouTube channel then please don’t forget to subscribe and like the video:

Race for Life: UPDATE

JustGiving - Sponsor me now!

17 days to go until the 5k run at Caernarfon. I’m exited/nervous and to be perfectly honest, I only started training yesterday.

From previous posts you saw that I was doing a 12 week challenge which failed and I didn’t gain or lose any weight, but during the 12 weeks I fluctuated big time. I regulary attended fitness classes in this time, but once the 12 weeks were up I took a month off fitness.. And boy it was showing last night in class.

The warm up was difficult, just shows even a week off gets you back to square one!

So I was dreading this morning that I couldn’t walk and all that but I’m fine, very suprised. I think because it was an all body work out rather than concentrating on one area, that would have been hard.

So there is 17 days left I have raised £59 so far, and still need to kindly ask friends and fanily member to sponsor, i’ll leave a link below if you would like to sponsor to..

The last time I did Race for Life I ran it in 34 minutes which was good considering I was 14lbs heavier that time. This time I am wanting to beat that time and thats my goal this year.

I ran during the 12 Week Challenge outside a 3 miler.. And ran it in 31 minutes I think, which is good. But as my fitness has gone down to square 1 I NEED to get back into it.

So my plan is to eat healthier, get enough energy before any fitness and after, run on the treadmill atleast twice a week, also attend 2 fitness classes a week, try running outside on the weekend and just hope for the best.

I know I sound like I am attending a Marathon, but It’s only 5k and to be honest I dont do running! It’s my worst cardio. So wish me luck guys. 17 days will fly by.
